Edge rusher Zina Umeozulu has narrowed down his list of schools to nine, adding the USC Trojans alongside Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, Oklahoma, SMU, Miami, Georgia, and LSU.
Umeozulu is part of the Class of 2024, making him an attractive prospect for a USC team which needs every possible recruiting boost heading into the Big Ten.
Umeozulu is listed at 6-4 and 210 pounds. He is rated a four-star (0.9381) recruit by the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 141 player nationally, the No. 11 edge rusher, and the No. 25 player in the state of Texas.
Umeozulu has two confirmed official visits to Oklahoma on June 16-18 and Texas June 23-25, with a likely visit to Texas A&M at the beginning of June as well. Keep in mind that his older brother, Neto Umeozulu, plays on the offensive line at Texas.
Umeozulu had 46 tackles, four tackles for a loss, six sacks and eight hurries during his sophomore campaign. He managed to record 43 tackles, 11 hurries, three fumble recoveries and three sacks in 2022.
