More good news for Tar Heel fans: UNC transfer [autotag]Cormac Ryan[/autotag] has withdrawn from the 2023 NBA draft.
Ryan was one of the four transfers Hubert Davis brought to UNC. Despite transferring to become a Tar Heel on April 20, no one knew if he would lace up for UNC since he had already declared for the NBA draft.
Thankfully for the Tar Heels, Ryan used the last day available to withdraw from the NBA draft to join UNC this fall. The decision comes on the heels of five-star point Elliot Cadeau’s reclassification to the 2023 class.
North Carolina's Cormac Ryan tells me that he will withdraw from the 2023 NBA Draft and return to school next season. Transfer from Notre Dame.

Ryan’s consistent shooting ability will be a significant addition for UNC, which was inconsistent all season in that area. Last season, Ryan averaged 12.3 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while shooting 40.9% from the field.
The move will be a boost to Davis’s depth, adding another scoring guard to the rotation.
