The 2023 NBA Finals are set to begin between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat, and a quartet of rookies will provide their thoughts throughout the series.
One of the rookies will be Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams, who will be a media correspondent for the league throughout the Finals. The other three rookies will be Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero, Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler and Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin.
Williams finished his rookie season second in Rookie of the Year voting after he averaged 14.1 points on 52.1% shooting, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 75 games.
It’s unknown what exactly Williams will do, but he will consistently appear throughout the finals as a media member, likely offering his thoughts and doing some boots-on-the-ground reporting.
