With things moving in slow motion right now, it feels like a good time to check in on mock drafts for the Cincinnati Bengals.
The most prominent 2024 NFL mock draft right now comes from Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar and has the Bengals going back to the defensive side of the ball with Washington pass-rusher Bralen Trice at No. 31.
It’s a pick that screams Bengals considering Trice was a bit of a slow-starter in college before becoming one of the most productive pass-rushers out there.
Duke Tobin and Co. love their best players available in Round 1 and Trice hits some need too, considering guys like Trey Hendrickson and DJ Reader have put a ton of snaps on their bodies lately and have contracts expiring soon.
And again, all that productivity:

Getting to pair Trice and Myles Murphy from this year’s first round would go a long way toward helping the defense maintain its high level of play beyond the current foundational pieces.
