Last season the Pittsburgh Steelers got a bargain when they landed wide receiver George Pickens in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft. Pickens had no business falling out of the first round and he showed that for a good chunk of last season.
On the year, Pickens finished with 52 catches for 801 yards and four receiving touchdowns. Pickens was third on the team in catches, second in receiving yards and led the team in receiving touchdowns. In 17 games, Pickens averaged 4.9 targets per game.
Given how efficient Pickens was last season when given opportunities all he needs to be better is more targets. Pickens catch rate was the top among rookies. If Pickens wants to be better in 2023, all he needs is more chances. By comparison, Diontae Johnson had 147 targets last season.

We think the sky is the limit for Pickens and he just needs more opportunities. And we think we will get them this season. Case your vote and tell us if you think Pickens will be better or worse in 2023.
