The Colorado Buffaloes have been active in the transfer portal since Deion Sanders arrived in town. They have added a ton of pieces on offense, including former Houston RB Alton McCaskill.
However, they have brought in a ton of defense as well after a difficult 2022 campaign on that side of the ball. One important “new” piece is Chance Main, who began his college career at Independence Community College before heading to Incarnate Word. Main then transferred to Colorado prior to the 2022 season.
He finished the 2022 season with 28 total tackles, two TFLs and a fumble recovery. However, when Coach Prime came in, Main was one of a flurry of players to enter the portal.
Yet, he decided to return to Boulder earlier this month for his final college season, and he recently revealed what went into that decision in an interview with CUSportsReport’s Nikki Edwards:
“We have every tool, every facility, everything to make it a powerhouse again.” 🦬
I caught up with @chance_main to discuss how he ended up back with the Buffs and his journey with Colorado Football.

“I think we’re slept on a little bit,” Main told Edwards. “They still believe we’re kind of the same team… We have every tool and every facility to make it a powerhouse again… It’s even a better situation than it was in the 90s.”
