The Tennessee Titans have inked another one of their 2023 NFL draft picks after agreeing to terms with third-round pick and running back, Tyjae Spears.
The Titans announced the agreement on Thursday, making Spears the fourth draft pick to sign this year. Along with Spears, all three of the Titans’ Day 3 picks — tight end Josh Whyle, offensive tackle Jaelyn Duncan and wide receiver Colton Dowell — have signed their rookie deals.
The two picks who remain unsigned are first-round pick and offensive tackle Peter Skoronski, and second-round selection and quarterback, Will Levis.
According to Spotrac, Spears’ four-year deal is estimated to cost $5.49 million in total and include a signing bonus of about $993,174. The projected first-year cap hit of the Tulane product’s deal will be around $998,293.
Spears was in attendance at Tennessee’s organized team activities this week, and by all accounts he was impressive during the session that was open to the media on Tuesday.
Every time Tyjae Spears touches the ball he runs to the end zone. He can run routes and catches the ball with ease. I could see him in a Dontrell Hilliard type of role. #Titans fans are going to be excited once they see him in the preseason.
