After making critical additions in the transfer portal this offseason, Texas A&M Basketball head coach Buzz Williams is preparing for a summer of training and conditioning for the 2023 season, as four out of five starters return with solid depth at all five spots.
However, his focus will be split between the team and recruiting, already signing three players in the 2024 recruiting cycle, ranked as the No. 3 recruiting class according to 247Sports Composite rankings. For the 2025 cycle, Williams and his staff have kept close contact with four-star shooting guard Jerry Easter II out of Toledo, Ohio, who is currently ranked as the 11th SG and No. 3-ranked player in Ohio.

Standing at 6-5 and 190 pounds, Easter possesses a pure shooting stroke and is an offensive threat whenever he has the ball, while his relentless work ethic makes him a perfect fit for Williams’ system. This led to the Aggies officially offering Easter on Wednesday, joining over 25 other programs vying for his commitment.
Texas A&M’s recent recruiting success bodes well in their chances of landing Easter, but as we know, this process requires patience. Congratulations, Jerry! Gig ‘Em!
