The Miami Dolphins have begun their offseason organized team activities, also known as ‘OTAs,’ and a few videos from the practices have surfaced online. The Alabama duo of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle are back in action.
Tagovailoa looks to bounce back after a strong 2022 season performance but will look to stay on the field. Last season, Tagovailoa made headlines for missing multiple games due to numerous concussions and head injuries. However, he did post impressive numbers. He completed nearly 65% of his passes for 3,548 yards, 25 touchdowns and only eight interceptions with a QB rating of 68.8. All of those stats were accumulated in only 13 of 17 games, and there were a few games he appeared in but did not finish due to injury.
Jaylen Waddle enters season No. 3 and comes off of a 2022 season that had him reeling in 75 passes for 1,356 yards and eight touchdowns.
In Miami Gardens, the duo is back together on the field, going through light training and practices to get back into the swing of things.
A series of clips shared to Twitter by NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe show Tagovailoa throwing passes and Waddle catching a few while working on his route running.
Wolfe notes in his Tweet that this is Tagovailoa’s first time back doing full-team drills since suffering a concussion in last season’s Christmas contest against the Green Bay Packers.
