The USC Trojans men’s basketball team lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament once again. However, that was hardly the end of the story for a program which has significantly improved in the offseason. Landing Isaiah Collier and Bronny James should definitely help Andy Enfield. The Trojans will be a fun team to watch, and there should be plenty of nationally televised games for the Trojans in 2023-2024.
Moreover, the USC men’s team is set to play some exhibition games in Greece and Croatia this summer, as reported by Myron Medcalf of ESPN.
The tour will take place from August 5-15 against pro teams, so this will be a tremendous experience for this group. Andy Enfield commented on the chance to play these exhibition games: “We are excited to announce our 2023 Summer Tour to Greece and Croatia. This is a great opportunity for our student-athletes and staff to enjoy a unique educational and cultural experience in three amazing cities. The three games against competitive professional teams will be invaluable to the development of the 2023-24 squad.”
The Trojans also benefited from the surprising return from Boogie Ellis, not to mention D.J. Rodman, the son of Dennis Rodman, transferring. The loss of Reese Dixon-Waters won’t help. However, the Trojans getting some important games under their belt in August should be important in helping them to come together as a team and improve the odds of success.
