The Arizona Cardinals open another phase of the offseason on Monday with the start of voluntary OTAs (organized team activities). Veterans and rookies will be together for classroom work and 10 practices where they can begin to do non-contact offense vs. defense drills.
They are not in pads still.
There are three weeks of OTAs, which are all voluntary, and then a week of mandatory minicamp.
These are the scheduled dates for the practices:
- Week 1 of OTAs: May 22, 24-25
- Week 2 of OTAs: May 31-June 2
- Week 3 of OTAs: June 5-8
After those three weeks of voluntary offseason work, the one week of mandatory work in minicamp will begin.
- Mandatory minicamp: June 13-15
There will be media availability at least one day each week of OTAs and then all three days of minicamp, but reporters might not be able to report some of what they see.
