After a surprise run to the Western Conference Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink. With Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets burying L.A. in a 3-0 series hole, the onus will be on LeBron James and Anthony Davis to mount a (very unlikely, as in never happened before!) playoff comeback.
But before they even try, James and Davis made a rather curious wardrobe decision after the Lakers’ loss in Game 3 put their title hopes in jeopardy. The two superstars clearly wore matching shirts (albeit with a different base color) to their postgame press conferences.
Given that James and Davis often present themselves as the Lakers’ unifying pillar duo, this probably isn’t surprising. But to stick with the “pair” look — as highlighted by CJ Fogler (@cjzero on Twitter) — after your opponents put your season up against the wall is certainly a … choice.

Naturally, with the Lakers seemingly having no answers for the Nuggets in what now might be a very quick series, NBA fans were quick to joke about James and Davis going with matching shirts despite their team’s failures.
I mean, I guess at least one thing is still in sync about the Lakers, right?
