Tennessee junior pitcher Zach Joyce was named to the SEC Baseball Community Service team Wednesday.
Joyce is among the Vols’ leaders in community service hours logged.
He volunteered at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, spending time with children with serious illnesses, during his first season playing for the Vols.
Joyce also donated time at Lonsdale Elementary School in Knoxville, Tennessee, assisting with physical education classes.
He volunteered at Knoxville Museum of Art and participated in UT’s Baseball Day of Service.
Joyce is pursuing a degree in supply chain management and has a 3.31 grade point average.
He earned his first career win for the Vols Tuesday against Belmont.
