Four-star cornerback Eli Bowen is set to officially visit Texas on June 16, according to a report from Inside Texas.
247Sports lists Bowen as the No. 27 corner in the nation and the No. 46 player in the state of Texas for the 2024 class. He has earned 23 offers going into his senior season at Denton Guyer High School.
Bowen is the young brother of Oklahoma Sooner freshman defensive back Peyton Bowen. Peyton was ranked as a five-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle. He flipped two times before ultimately signing with the Sooners.
A potential sibling reunion could be in store as Oklahoma is currently the favorite to land the talented corner. Oregon, Nebraska, TCU, Texas and Texas A&M remain in the mix.
While competing with the family ties of Oklahoma will be a tall task, the summer official visit gives Texas an opportunity to make up some ground in Bowen’s recruitment.
