2023 Las Vegas Raiders Super Bowl odds with conference, division and win total best bets

Analyzing 2023 NFL Super Bowl odds for the Las Vegas Raiders, including best bets for win total, conference and division titles.

The Las Vegas Raiders entered last season with high expectations, but they ended up just 6-11, including a dismal 2-7 on the road. That was the 2nd-worst road mark in the AFC, but thankfully Vegas had the Denver Broncos to keep it from falling into the basement of the AFC West.

The Raiders switched gears late in the season, pulling the plug on the QB Derek Carr experiment. He was demoted late in the season, he left the team, and was subsequently released in the offseason, landing in New Orleans. The team brought in QB Jimmy Garoppolo as his new successor, while also adding QB Brian Hoyer as the backup.

The wide receivers room gets a complete makeover, too, with DeAndre Carter, Keelan Cole, Phillip Dorsett, Jakobi Meyers and Cam Sims joining WR Davante Adams, as well as TEs Austin Hooper and O.J. Howard. Those 2 will join TE Michael Mayer, the 35th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame, in a revamped tight ends room.

The secondary got a facelift, too, as the Silver and Black added CB Brandon Facyson, S Marcus Epps, CB David Long Jr. and CB Duke Shelley, while helping the D by re-signing S Roderic Teamer and DT Jerry Tillery, too, while nabbing LB Tyree Wilson at No. 7 overall from Texas Tech.

Did the Raiders do enough to address their glaring needs? Time will tell, but this is a team which added plenty of depth, and that’s always good thing.

Below, we look at the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2023 NFL Super Bowl odds from FanDuel Sportsbook along with projected win total, playoff, conference and division odds as we make our best NFL picks and predictions.

Raiders over/under win total

Odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook – last updated May 18 at 12:35 a.m. ET; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list.

  • 6.5 wins: (Over: -144 | Under: +118)

I find it interesting that a 6-win team from a season ago, and one projected to win 6 or 7 games by the books this season, gets 5 prime-time matchups. It’s good to be based in Sin City, where the TV execs and fans want to be.

As far as how the schedule shapes up, though … ouch. While the Raiders are playing a 3rd-place schedule, this is one of the toughest I’ve seen for the 2023 season.

I like Jimmy G, and I think he is a winner. He might not have the skillset as fellow division QBs like Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, but he finds a way. And the team committed to adding a lot of weapons in the pass game. RB Josh Jacobs, who led the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards in 2022, was slapped with the franchise tag, but he has yet to sign it.

If Jacobs signs the tag or not, it makes a big difference, but even with the NFL’s leading rusher, this team looks to top out at 7 wins. The schedule is insanely brutal, and there won’t be a consistent win streak at any point of the season.

At plus-money, UNDER 6.5 (+118) is a strong value, as I don’t see this being a winning team in a stacked division with a difficult schedule.

Raiders Super Bowl odds

  • +5500 (bet $100 to win $5,500)

The good news for Vegas is that Super Bowl 57 will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Sin City in February. The bad news is that the Raiders won’t be anywhere near the playing field.

This isn’t a championship caliber roster. There are a bunch of solid depth pieces, and some good football players on this roster, but there are no great players outside of Adams. There are no players who will take this franchise to the next level. Even if Jacobs signs his tag, he led the league in rushing yards last season, and where did the Raiders land in the standings again? Exactly.

At +5500, Las Vegas has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 1.79% or 55/1 fractional odds.

The Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans have the longest odds at +18000.

PASS, as it’s going to take a lot more than Jimmy G, Adams, Jacobs and a host of other mediocre players to make a run at the Lombardi Trophy. This team is closer to a top-10 draft pick in 2024 than it is to a Super Bowl.

Will the Raiders make the playoffs?

  • Yes +390 | No -550

It’s quite tempting to take a shot on the Raiders to multiply your initial wager by nearly 4 times. But, again, look at that schedule. Can you find at least 9 victories which could qualify the Raiders for a Wild-Card spot in the AFC? I can’t. I have looked several times, and I keep landing on 6 or 7 wins tops.

This is a team which was 2-7 on the road last season, while posting a minus-23 point differential. They were surprisingly 3-3 inside the division, but that’s because they kicked around the lowly Broncos. That might not even happen again, as Denver has made some strides. This defense was one of the worst in the AFC, allowing 418 points, and while they made additions to provide depth, there still aren’t a lot of star players who will turn things around in a hurry.

However, I’d also PASS on a wager for No (-550), as risking 5 1/2 times your potential return is never a good idea, especially when locking in a futures bet and waiting it out over several months.

Odds to win AFC West Division

  • Chiefs -160 (bet $160 to win $100)
  • Chargers +300 (bet $100 to win $300)
  • Broncos +550 (bet $100 to win $550)
  • Raiders +1200 (bet $100 to win $1,200)

Again, why are we seeing the Raiders in 5 primetime games, including 3 before Halloween? This is going to be an unwatchable team at times, and one which is likely to maintain a residency in the basement of the AFC West standings.

The Chiefs are the Wynn or Resorts World of the AFC West, the Chargers are the Cosmopolitan or Aria, the Broncos are TI or MGM Grand, while the Raiders are Circus Circus or Excalibur. In other words, the Raiders aren’t high quality, and they’re going to be musty, dirty and come in last behind the other more polished teams.

Raiders odds to win AFC

  • +4500 (bet $100 to win $4,500)

Again, the Raiders aren’t going to be a playoff team, so they’re definitely not going to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl in their home stadium.

This is a team which has plenty of obstacles in their own division, as the Chiefs (+350) are the AFC’s top team, and the NFL’s overall favorite to win another Super Bowl.  Then, there are also the Bills (+450), Bengals (+500), Jets (+900), Ravens (+1000), Dolphins (+1200), Chargers (+1300) , Jaguars (+1500), Browns (+1700), Patriots (+2500), Broncos (+3000) and Steelers (+3000) each listed ahead of the Raiders.

The good news is that the Raiders do not have to face the Bengals, Browns or Jaguars, but all of those other teams dot the schedule. It’s gonna be another long season for the Raiders.

AVOID.
