Pat McAfee joining ESPN in massive new deal

‘The Pat McAfee Show’ will be joining ESPN this fall.

Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee has enjoyed immense success with “The Pat McAfee Show” and will be joining ESPN in a massive new deal.

McAfee announced Tuesday that the show will remain largely the same despite moving to the Disney-owned company, apart from using some choice profanity to a lesser degree. He also vowed the show will remain free to watch on Youtube, which has been a major point in the show’s success.

But now, the show will also be featured on ESPN and ESPN+, reaching a bigger audience.

According to Andrew Marchand of The New York Post, the details of the deal are not fully known, but it is expected “to be more than eight figures per year.” McAfee reportedly is in the second year of a four-year, $120 million deal with Fanduel, according to The Athletic, which means he’ll be walking away from that deal.

McAfee vowed that the “progrum” will remain largely the same. It will air live on ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN’s Youtube channel following “Get Up” and “First Take,” McAfee said in the announcement.

It isn’t clear what kind of changes will be taking place on the show but as of now, it seems this is a move to reach a bigger audience. The move to ESPN is expected to begin in the fall.
