Fayetteville named best place to live in the SEC, top 10 in USA

The city that the University of Arkansas calls home has been tops in the SEC for eight straight years now.

Knoxville is great, sure. Lexington, too. Athens, Georgia, is a fine, fine city. Nashville, tremendous.

None of them, though, are Fayetteville.

The yearly rating that sees the town the University of Arkansas calls home as the top place to live in the SEC – and one of the top places to live nationally, period – is always one of the biggest points of pride among Natural Staters. Yes, even those who live outside of Northwest Arkansas.

Tuesday was the day in 2023. Fayetteville was named as the 10th best city to live in America by U.S. News and World Report in the magazine’s annual “Best Places to Live” list.

That’s eight straight years now Fayetteville has been in the top 10 and tops in the SEC.

Knoxville, for the record, was the only other city on the list from the SEC.

Real shock Gainesville wasn’t there, huh? See ya soon, Gators.
