It’s never too early to look at five-star recruits, and the Florida Gators have their eyes on Saraland, Alabama, five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams, who is also a Crimson Tide commit.
Florida extended an offer to Williams earlier in the month and there is interest on both sides, according to On3’s Corey Bender. Williams has been committed to the University of Alabama for seven months, but seeing more than 30 offer pile up over the past half a year as him looking at all options.
“I really like Florida,” Williams said to Bender. “It’s definitely a historic program that is known for winning and always being a contender. They also have an electric fan base that doesn’t go away no matter what the score is.”

Williams said that he has developed a strong relationship with defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong, who was at Alabama temporarily before joining UF. He says that a visit is coming sooner rather than later, but dates are still up in the air.
“I’m definitely going to get to Gainesville ASAP, but the date is still TBD,” said Willaims.’
Flipping him won’t be easy, but it seems like the door is open. Being a class of 2025 recruit, Williams still has nearly 20 months to decide where he wants to play college ball.
Williams holds a five-star rating everywhere but Rivals.com, where he is a four-star recruit ranked No. 5 in the country. He’s No. 3 in the nation everywhere else and the consensus top receiver in his class. The On3 industry ranking, which uses a weighted average from all four major services, has him at No. 4 overall.
