Former Tennessee running back Len’Neth Whitehead announced Monday he is transferring to Georgia.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Whitehead played at Tennessee from 2020-22. He missed the 2022 season due to injury.
“Len’Neth will be out for the entire year,” Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said in July 2022. “He sustained an upper body injury a couple weeks ago, had season ending surgery.”
Whitehead appeared in eight games for the Vols in 2021, totaling 207 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 32 attempts. He recorded one reception for 10 yards.
In 2020, Whitehead was injured during fall training camp and did not play as a true freshman.
