Despite what was arguably the Atlanta Falcons‘ most aggressive offseason of the last decade, the team was not awarded any prime-time games when the NFL’s 2023 schedule was released last week.
One potential reason for the snub could be Atlanta’s lack of noteworthy opponents. The Falcons will play against just three teams — the Buccaneers, Jaguars and Vikings — that went to the playoffs in 2022. There’s also a lack of proven quarterbacks on the schedule.
