Johni Broome invited to the NBA Combine

He is one step closer to hearing his name called in the 2023 NBA Draft.

[autotag]Johni Broome[/autotag] is one step closer to getting drafted. Auburn’s center was invited to the NBA Draft Combine after a dominant weekend at the NBA’s G League Elite camp, the NBA announced Sunday night.

Broome combined to score 40 points on 16-of-25 shooting in two games this weekend. He added 12 rebounds, four blocks and three assists.

While the move is great for his chances of getting drafted it does increase the chances that Auburn would have to replace its star center who averaged 14.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks last year and made the All-SEC team.

Underclassmen who entered the draft but retained college eligibility have until 11:59 p.m. ET on May 30 to withdraw from the draft process and return to school.

If he does elect to stay in the draft then Auburn would likely be in the market for another center, [autotag]Dylan Cardwell[/autotag] is the only other one on the roster.
