No. 20 Tennessee (34-16, 13-12 SEC) defeated No. 16 Kentucky (34-14, 14-11 SEC), 10-6, Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Friday’s contest was the first of a three-game series between the Vols and Wildcats.

Game No. 2 will take place at noon EDT on Saturday (SEC Network), while the series finale on Sunday is slated for 1 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).

The Vols hit five home runs versus Kentucky on Friday, including three in a seven-run third inning.

Andrew Lindsey (1-2) pitched 6.2 innings for Tennessee. He allowed six hits, three runs (two earned) and three walks, while recording four strikeouts.
