The NFL might have just released their schedules for the 2023 season, but we are more focused on what is coming down the pipe for college football.
It will be the last season before we see plenty of expansion. The Big Ten is adding both the UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans for the 2024 calendar year, while the SEC adding the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns. But wait there’s more.
The College Football Playoffs will also expand to the 12-team field for the 2024 campaign. While that is still a year away, the storylines aren’t lacking for the upcoming season.
We are interested to see how the year one head coaches will perform with Deion Sanders (Colorado), Luke Fickell (Wisconsin), and Matt Rhule (Nebraska) all taking center stage.
What about year two redemption stories? Brent Venables had a losing season, which hadn’t happened in Norman since 1998 the year before Bob Stoops arrived in the Sooner state.
The biggest story might be the Georgia Bulldogs, who are looking to make history with a third straight title. They have a massive target on their backs as we head into the next college football season.
With so many great games coming down the pipe, we picked at least one must-see game in each week of the season.
