Ravens LB Trenton Simpson ‘blessed’ to be teammate of QB Lamar Jackson

Ravens linebacker Trenton Simpson said he’s “blessed” to be the teammate of quarterback Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens added linebacker Trenton Simpson to their defense during the 2023 NFL draft with the No. 86 overall selection. He is an extremely versatile player, with the potential to play all over the defense and make an impact with his athleticism.

When asked about quarterback Lamar Jackson, Simpson gushed about his new teammate. He said that he’s ready to see Jackson’s magic in practice every day, while also saying he’s “blessed” to be on the same team as the star quarterback, making sure that the defense can get the offense the ball back.

“Oh, no, it’s cool to be able to play with him [Lamar Jackson]. I’m ready to play beside Lamar Jackson and see the magic he does in practice every day and compete, because I know when he goes out there on Sundays, he’s going to do his thing. So, I’m blessed to be his teammate and ready to work, and make sure on defense we handle our part so [the] offense can do their thing.”
