[autotag]Daniel Cormier[/autotag] didn’t include his biggest rival when making his MMA Mount Rushmore.
In a segment on ESPN’s First Take, Cormier created a list of his MMA Mount Rushmore that includes four fighters, but left out a notable name.
Cormier’s list did not have former longtime UFC light heavyweight champion and current heavyweight champ [autotag]Jon Jones[/autotag], who defeated him twice – one of which was overturned to a no contest after Jones tested positive for a turinabol metabolite in their rematch at UFC 214.
Jones also tested positive for estrogen blockers clomiphene and letrozole in 2016 after he defeated Ovince Saint Preux. In both instances, an independent arbitrator determined that Jones did not knowingly cheat.
It should be no surprise that Cormier left Jones out of his list, considering he made his stance clear on those who previously have popped for illegal substances – which would explain why former UFC middleweight champ and all-time great Anderson Silva is also not on his list.
“There is going to be one person that is not on the list that you’re going to lose your mind, and you’re going to say that I’m harboring bad emotions,” Cormier said. “As a guy that’s been in there with him twice, I will tell you he is the man. He came back and became the heavyweight champ of the world. But I can’t forget all the things that he has done.”
