There are still several NFL free agents left out on the market, including a former member of the New England Patriots.
NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal compiled a list of the best available free agents, and former New England offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn was on it.
Wynn was drafted by New England in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft. He began his career as a dependable left tackle for the organization. However, injury issues and poor play forced him to take a bit of a backseat in 2022. He appeared in nine games and started seven of them.
His poor performance resulted in him being benched twice, with the last occurrence taking place on October 17. Marcus Cannon came in to replace him during that game and served as his backup.
Wynn became a free agent at the end of the season. Here’s what Rosenthal had to say about the tackle:
It’s a bad sign that Wynn seemed to fall out of favor with the Patriots before landing on injured reserve, but he’s still a young player with plenty of high-level tape — though it came during his first three seasons.
