Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels have put together a very impressive 2024 recruiting class early on. With four commitments already, including three five-star recruits, the Tar Heels class is ranked No. 1 at the start of May.
And they are still pursuing another piece.
Five-star forward Jarin Stevenson is still a big recruiting target for the Tar Heels and is a candidate to reclassify as well. But as far as his recruitment goes right now, Stevenson is hoping to make a decision by the end of Summer and things are picking up in his recruitment.
Stevenson talked to Dushawn London of 247Sports, and revealed that another trip to UNC could be in his future:
When it comes to his recruitment, Stevenson has taken three official visits so far to Georgetown, Missouri and Virginia. Stevenson is also considering a trip to UNC in the future.
As for the teams that are recruiting him the hardest right now, Stevenson mentioned UNC, NC State, Arkansas, Virginia and Missouri.
It’s hard to say where things stand right now for UNC in Stevenson’s recruitment but if they can get another visit, it could potentially seal the deal in the recruitment for them.
Either way, it’s going to be a summer to pay attention to for this recruitment.
