JuJu Smith-Schuster has positive impression of Bill O’Brien

JuJu Smith-Schuster is liking the playbook Bill O’Brien is cooking up in New England.

New England Patriots wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster met with the media on Tuesday and shared his first impressions of the organization and newly-hired offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien.

The first interaction appears to have been a positive one.

Smith-Schuster comes to New England from the Kansas City Chiefs. He is looking to build off a year that saw him record 78 catches for 933 yards and three touchdowns. He may have a big role in New England with the departure of wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Las Vegas Raiders.

O’Brien will have his work cut out for him, as he looks to revive an offense that ranked 26th in total offense last season.

New weapons via free agency and the NFL draft should help spark the offense again. In the meantime, Smith-Schuster is pleased with what O’Brien has brought to the table so far. He praised O’Brien’s coaching style when speaking to media members.

It will be interesting to see how O’Brien utilizes Smith-Schuster in the offense. One has to wonder what type of schemes O’Brien has in store and how it will all play out on the field.
