The 2024 recruiting class for the North Carolina Tar Heels is currently ranked No. 1 overall thanks to four commitments including three five-star players.
Among those commits is point guard Elliot Cadeau, who has staked his claim to be the top point guard in the class. And the recent performances on the Nike EYBL cycle are backing that up.
Following another good weekend, Cadeau caught the eyes of a national recruiting analyst who had some high praise. Eric Bossi of 247Sports wrote on the latest Nike EYBL event in Phoenix and had this to say about Cadeau’s game:
There hasn’t been a better passer — regardless of class – than North Carolina’s 2024 point guard commit Elliot Cadeau. Leading one of the most talented backcourts in the land for the New Heights Lightning, Cadeau has been a true maestro on the floor while backing up his status as the top point guard in 2024. Through two sessions of EYBL play he’s averaging 10.5 assists per game and his ability to be explosive off of two feet in the lane is a real difference maker.
Cadeau has showcased his playmaking ability over the past year including on the AAU circuit. He had a streak of six games with double-digit assists and points, being a facilitator for his team.
The point guard continues to impress, which is great news for the Tar Heels as they have the future at the point guard position in Cadeau.
