Notre Dame has been red-hot on the recruiting trail since hosting a plethora of targets during the spring game weekend. Could the Irish be about to add another commitment to the 2024 class on Tuesday?
Four-star wide receiver Micah Gilbert of Charlotte Christian (North Carolina) is set to announce his college choice at 4 pm. ET Tuesday. Notre Dame is one of seven finalists for Gilbert’s commitment. Along with the Irish are Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, Duke, and Virginia Tech.
Gilbert stands 6-2 and weighs 205-pounds. In his last two seasons at Charlotte Christian, where he is teammates with recent Notre Dame commitment Bryce Young, Gilbert has hauled in 79 receptions for 1,010 yards and nine touchdowns. Each of the major recruiting outlets grade Gilbert as a four-star talent and top-40 receiver in his class.
We’ll know if Notre Dame has a third receiver commit for 2024 Tuesday afternoon and we’ll break it down whether it goes the way of the Irish or not so stay tuned!
