Finkel focused on Swift’s efficiency when paired with a powerful running back like Rashaad Penny. In 2022, while paired with Jamaal Williams, Swist may have had his best overall season.
- He was most efficient in 2022, averaging almost 5.5 yards per attempt while paired with Jamaal Williams, a more physical ball-carrier who often was used in short yardage and goal-line situations.
- Swift averaged less attempts and yards than the average NFL running back over the last three seasons, but averaged a better yards-per-attempt average, along with more rushing touchdowns, receptions, receiving yards, yards-per-reception average , and receiving touchdowns than the three-year league average.
- Swift’s receiving touchdowns place him in the top 21% of running backs in terms of receiving touchdowns.
- Overall, Swift’s receiving upside will add a completely different dynamic to an Eagles offense that last year lacked the same trait
Swift, a former second-round pick by the previous Lions staff, logged 1,680 yards and 18 touchdowns on 364 carries in three years with Detroit.

A genuine dual threat on offense, Swift also logged 1,198 receiving yards and seven additional scores on 156 catches and should pair with Kenneth Gainwell to stress the opposition’s outside linebackers and safety groups.
