The Minnesota Vikings drafted six players in the 2023 NFL draft and only one player in the top 100. They decided to stay at 23rd overall and take USC wide receiver Jordan Addison.
After that, the Vikings spent time building up the secondary with cornerback Mekhi Blackmon, safety Jay Ward and defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy. They finished the draft off with a potential quarterback of the future in BYU’s Jaren Hall and a running back in DeWayne McBride.
The strategy of not trading back into the heart of the draft between 20-70 will be an interesting one to track, but Addison is a really good football player.
What do you think Vikings fans? What grade would you give the Vikings’ draft?
