The Tennessee Titans waited until the last minute to grab a wide receiver in the 2023 NFL draft, drafting wideout Colton Dowell with the 228th pick, their seventh-round selection.
I don’t think there’s a soul out there who thought the Titans wouldn’t come away with a much-needed wide receiver before Round 7, but here we are.
The 6-foot-2, 207-pound wide receiver will compete for a roster spot in 2023. Normally, seventh-round wide receivers are longshots to make rosters, but if Tennessee’s current situation doesn’t change, he’s got a great shot.
For those of us who wanted the Titans to spend an early-to-middle round pick on the position, there’s nothing we can do at this point but sit back and have faith while this all unfolds.
Hopefully head coach Mike Vrabel and general manager Ran Carthon have something up their sleeves that will change the current outlook.
Now, a look at the reaction to Tennessee’s final pick.
