What the Colts are getting in EDGE Titus Leo

Here’s what the Colts are getting in EDGE Titus Leo.

The Indianapolis Colts are getting closer to wrapping up their 2023 NFL draft class with the selection of Titus Leo in the sixth round.

The small school product played at Wagner as a linebacker and edge rusher after playing wide receiver and safety in high school.

Leo made Bruce Feldman’s Freaks List last summer at the No. 92 slot. He had a broad jump and vertical jump is what helped put him on the NFL radar. He’s a bit undersized for the position but in terms of his athletic testing, he has good to elite grades.

His RAS score ranks as the 250th best among all defensive end prospects since 1987.

He’s known for playing the position with a high motor and is constantly working to get to the quarterback.

Colts fans should like that he has the Dwight Freeney spin move in his bag of tricks.

Leo can get the edge on tackles quickly because of his initial burst off the line of scrimmage.

He also can provide special teams value which has been a common thing for the later Day 3 picks that the Colts have selected. He’s a project pass rusher for Gus Bradley to work with and if they can utilize his traits to refine his pass rush technique then the defense could have a situational pass rusher on the roster.
