PHOTOS: Mississippi State’s ambidextrous pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje versus Tennessee

No. 16 Tennessee (30-14, 11-10 SEC) defeated Mississippi State (24-20, 6-15 SEC), 13-2 in seven innings, Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Tennessee completed a series sweep versus the Bulldogs.

The Vols won, 8-7, in the series opener on Thursday. Griffin Merritt hit a walk-off home run for Tennessee.

Tennessee was victorious, 12-8, in game No. 2 on Friday.

Pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje started for Mississippi State. He pitched one inning, allowing six runs (all earned), three hits and four walks, while recording one strikeout.

Cijntje totaled 43 pitches (22 strikes) against 10 batters for the Bulldogs.

He is an ambidextrous pitcher, pitching with both hands.
