The UNC football program received good news with one former player in the transfer portal. Just a few days after defensive back Don Chapman entered the transfer portal, he has made his decision.
And it’s returning to Chapel Hill.
Per multiple reports, Chapman has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal after less than a week. It’s great news for UNC as they get a key piece to the secondary back.
The Tar Heels lost Cam’Ron Kelly, Storm Duck and Tony Grimes during the first transfer portal window and four other defensive players in the new window. Getting someone back like Chapman who has experience is key.

In four years at UNC, Chapman has appeared in 43 games and made 20 starts in those games including 11 of 14 last year. He did start the Holiday Bowl against Oregon for his lone start of the year.
