Transfer guard Jace Carter officially signs with Texas A&M basketball

The Aggies basketball team continues to bolster its roster after transfer shooting guard Jace Carter officially signed with the Maroon and White on Tuesday afternoon.

After beefing up its schedule earlier this week with a home-and-home series, Texas A&M basketball is also bolstering its roster with a key transfer portal addition.

On Tuesday afternoon shooting guard Jace Carter officially signed as the newest member of Aggies basketball. After announcing his intention to commit to the Maroon and White last week, Carter and the Aggies made the addition official with an announcement post shared on social media.

Carter was a three-star prospect in the Class of 2021 and initially committed to the University of Illinois-Chicago. In two seasons with the Flames, he averaged 13.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while averaging 31.0 minutes per game on the floor.

The Titusville native joins 2023 three-star center Brandon White as the latest addition to the Aggies basketball team.

Texas A&M assistant coach Steve Roccaforte expressed his excitement in the aftermath of Carter’s signing, noting that a player of his caliber is destined to thrive in Buzz Williams’ system. As a talent that can crash the boards and defend on the other end, the Maroon and White have been vocal about how fortunate they are to have him on the roster.

Welcome Jace, and we can’t wait to see the impact you make on the hardwood! Gig’Em!
