It’s a big week for former Michigan State football wide receiver Jayden Reed.
Reed is one of a handful of Spartans that could hear their name called during this week’s NFL Draft, and according to Matt Miller of ESPN it should be on the early side. Miller released a new mock draft projection on Sunday, with Reed being selected in the third round.
Miller has the Cleveland Browns selecting Reed with the No. 98 overall pick late in the third round. Miller had this to say about Reed:
“The addition of Elijah Moore will help the Browns’ receiver room, but more speed at the position can’t be ignored when there’s value on the board. Reed is a home-run hitter (26 TDs over four years) who can create in space with 4.4 speed. His versatility and punt return ability are bonus traits.”

Reed was one of two Spartans’ listed in Miller’s updated mock draft, with the other being defensive tackle Jacob Slade in the seventh round.
