The Aggies are rolling now in SEC play clinching their fourth SEC series in a row. It hasn’t been easy and finding starting pitchers for each game has been challenging. However, the Aggies are swinging the ball well and have been playing solid defense over the past few months. Texas A&M (25-14, 9-8 SEC) has put themselves in a good position to make a late run this time next month with this series win over No. 13 Kentucky (29-9, 10-7 SEC).
Game one SUmmary:
Kentucky got on the board first after multiple walks led to a sacrifice fly for a 0-1 lead in the bottom of the second. A&M would grab the lead in the next inning off a Brett Minnich three-run home run that scored Trevor Werner and Jack Moss for a 3-1 score.
Texas A&M got on the board again at the top of the fifth inning when Jace LaViolette hit a single through the right side and that was followed up by an infield hit scoring Austin Bost. The Wildcats cut into the lead a little bit with one score in the bottom of the fifth for a score of 5-2.
Each team scored one more time in the game with Kentucky putting one on the board in the bottom of the seventh. The Aggie’s score came off a double play where LaViolette and Bost were out, but Werner scored for a final score of 6-3 Aggies.
Final Score: Aggies 6, Wildcats 3 – W: Aschenbeck, Evan (6-0); L: Lunceford, Logan (3-2); S: Johnston, Will (3)

Game two SUmmary:
After a scoreless first inning, Jordan Thompson hit a three-run homer over the left field wall scoring LaViolette and Bost to go up 3-0. Kentucky answered with two runs of their own in the bottom of the second.
Kentucky tied the game in the bottom of the fifth then took the lead in the next inning with a two-run home run for a 3-5 score. That lead was short-lived as the Aggie took advantage of multiple walks and a wild pitch to go up. Hunter Haas hit a single scoring Thompson, then Werner was walked allowing Hank Bard to score. The very next pitch got by the catcher allowing Haas to slide in for the final score of the inning for a 6-5 lead.
The bottom of the seventh saw another lead change as the Wildcats got a hit to bring into two to go up 6-7. Austin Bost delivered once again, with two outs in the top of the ninth, Bost hit a double to right center plating Minnich and Wells.
Will Johnston closed out the game with back-to-back strikeouts securing the series win for a final score of 8-7.
