The Baltimore Ravens have the No. 22 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. While there’s plenty of options for the team in the first round, the middle and late rounds will also have an impact on how the roster looks come Week 1.
When listing of team fits for South Carolina cornerback Darius Rush, Jack McKessy of The Draft Network named Baltimore as an option for the sleeper. He mentioned the Ravens’ tendencies as a zone-heavy team, and McKessy says he could be a developmental piece that fits into what defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald wants to do on defense.
“Baltimore is another team that ran a zone-heavy defense in 2022 but needs to bring in big upgrades to their cornerback room to pair with Marlon Humphrey. Rush might not be the first cornerback the Ravens take in the draft to address what is a primary need for them, but he could be a developmental piece that fits in defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald’s scheme.”
