Texas A&M could have given Survivor a run for its money with how many runners they stranded on base this game. After about five innings it looked like Ole Miss was going to keep chipping away at the Aggie defense for a comfortable win while the Aggie offense continued to miss out on scoring opportunities.
The Aggies ended up making it a game and pulled ahead briefly off a three-run home run off the bat of Allie Enright before the Rebels came back to tie the game in the bottom of the same inning. Tied going into the bottom of the seventh, the Aggie pitcher was battling to secure extra innings, but it did not work out in her favor.
After hitting a few batters, Ole Miss hit a three-run home run with two outs for the walk-off win in game one.
Game two is on Saturday, April 22nd in Mississippi
