Podcast: Boston perspective on Ime Udoka’s coaching candidacy in Houston

In today’s #Rockets podcast, @TheCelticsWire shares insight on Ime Udoka as a candidate in Houston, including his exit from Boston and his coaching strengths and weaknesses.

In Friday’s episode of “The Lager Line,” Celtics Wire editor Justin Quinn offers his insight on the strengths and weaknesses of former Boston coach Ime Udoka, who appears to be one of two early front-runners in the ongoing coaching search of the Houston Rockets.

Udoka, 45, was a longtime assistant to Gregg Popovich in San Antonio. He spent one triumphant season with the 2021-22 Eastern Conference champion Celtics before having his tenure unravel in a scandal stemming from an alleged affair with a female subordinate.

Led by hosts Ben DuBose and Paulo Alves, the show also shares updated information on Houston’s top candidates, which are believed to be Udoka; former Lakers, Magic and Pacers head coach Frank Vogel; current Raptors coach Nick Nurse; and Kenny Atkinson, now Golden State’s lead assistant and formerly Brooklyn’s head coach.

Friday’s podcast, which is sponsored by Clutch City Lager of Karbach Brewing, can be listened to below. Each episode of the show is also made available via flagship radio station SportsTalk 790 and all major podcast distributors under “The Lager Line.”
