Michigan football adds another arm to the QB room

When Michigan football added Brandyn Hillman after he was released from his letter of intent from Notre Dame, it was a very late add for the 2023 class.

That 2023 class just grew bigger on Monday.

Jack Grusser, a quarterback, announced on Twitter he was decommiting from Harvard and signing with the Wolverines.

The Franklin Lakes (New Jersey) Ramapo gun-slinger is most likely taking a preferred walk-on slot and will not be on scholarship — at least not right away. But more depth is never a bad thing and with some offers he received, Grusser has potential.

Grusser was a three-star according to 247Sports rankings and was the 89th-ranked quarterback in the 2023 class. On the 247Sports Composite, Grusser was neither ranked nor had any stars.

Outside of Harvard, Grusser had offers from Rutgers, Army, Connecticut, Western Michigan and smaller Division II offers.

New quarterback coach Kirk Campbell continues to do wonders on the recruiting trail. He played a huge role in landing five-star Jadyn Davis and should be a big part of the recruiting trail moving forward.
