Kirk Cousins took the S2 Cognition test

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins took the S2 Cognition test, which is designed to help you understand how you process information.

For years, the standard test of a players intelligence was the Wonderlic. It was administered at the NFL Scouting Combine to every player. It has become obsolete in today’s day and age and there is a new test that teams are using in its place: the S2 Cognition test.

On an appearance on the PFF NFL Podcast, Brandon Ally of S2 Cognition revealed that Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins took the test. These are becoming more and more common in today’s NFL.

According to their website, the S2 Cognition test is meant to help understand athletes how they perform.

S2’s technology platform brings visibility to an athlete’s cognitive skill sets and identifies their strengths, weaknesses, and the “whys” behind their performance.

When you are on the football field, you need to process information extremely quick and make split second decisions. This test is designed to help athletes see how they do that and, can in turn, help their performance.

The people at S2 Cognition did a podcast about Cousins’ testing and you can listen to it on their website and various podcast aggregators.
