Arizona junior Azuolas Tubelis on Thursday told Jonathan Givony of ESPN that he will declare for the 2023 NBA draft after a decorated season with the Wildcats.
He is not expected to return to school next year.
Tubelis, who was born in Lithuania, was named a consensus second-team All-American after averaging 19.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.1 steals. His 694 points were the sixth-most in a season in program history and his 320 rebounds ranked ninth.
The 6-foot-11 forward led the Pac-12 in scoring, rebounding, field goals (274) and free throws (136). He was also named to the all-conference first team, becoming the 16th Wildcat to earn the distinction three times in a career.
Tubelis is not projected to be drafted, though, will have the opportunity to improve his stock in private workouts. He also figures to be among the prospects invited to participate in the draft combine next month in Chicago, Illinois.
Underclassmen have until April 23 to declare for the draft.
