While nothing is officially confirmed, Auburn guard Aicha Coulibaly was recently at Texas A&M for a visit causing a few rumors to swirl around. She announced her intentions in early April to transfer with two years of eligibility left.
Coulibaly is a very intriguing prospect that will have many suitors. The two-time All-SEC guard averaged 16 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last season and would be a perfect fit for the team Coach Taylor is trying to build.
If Coulibaly chooses to go to Texas A&M, she will be joining a young but talented team. Sydney Bowles was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and started all 29 games. Janiah Barker was also named to SEC All-Freshman Team and saw action in 19 games.
Coach Joni Taylor has also signed three top-100 players that include the No 1 players in Texas and Ohio. Being able to pair a veteran guard with some of these younger players would be a great start to the Aggies 2023 season.
Hopefully the rumors are true, and Texas A&M can add a quality starter to the lineup.
