Gators get On3’s RPM pick for this 4-star running back

Take a look at who On3 thinks will sign on with the Gators in the offensive backfield.

Billy Napier and Florida football got some good news on Sunday evening when On3’s Corey Bender submitted his On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick in favor of the Gators in their pursuit of four-star running back [autotag]Kahnen Daniels[/autotag] out of West Point (Mississippi). Bender indicated that his confidence level for his pick is at 75%.

UPDATE: Florida football gets commitment from 4-star RB

The 6-foot-1-inch, 185-pound back has made two trips to Gainesville so far, with the first coming back on March 11 when he received a scholarship offer during a campus visit. He made his way back to Hogtown on April 6 after generating further interest in the Orange and Blue following his initial stop.

“I just want to see what they have to offer. Also, I really liked it when I was down there at first, so I just want to see them again,” Daniels told Gators Online last week prior to the second visit. “I really like how (running backs) coach (Jabbar) Juluke really talks about me being a better person outside of football if I go there.

“He likes how I’m a very tough running back. They are going to be running three running backs this year, so I could work my way up to a starting job or into the rotation. He’s basically been telling me I will have a chance to play, but that’s not the only thing. It’s also about life after football and stuff like that.”

The high school junior also plans on being in attendance for this Thursday’s Orange and Blue game inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and has tentatively planned an official visit in June.

Daniels is ranked No. 358 overall and No. 35 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 309 and 25, respectively. Florida holds two of his three crystal ball predictions from 247Sports — with Mississippi State getting the other — and an overwhelming lead in On3’s RPM with a 92.8% chance of landing him. MSU is second at 1.8% in the RPM followed by Ole Miss at 1.6%.
