It’s been well established the 2022 Denver Broncos were an unmitigated disaster. In less than a calendar year, Denver went from a trendy Darkhorse pick for the AFC to one of the worst teams in the league. Their fatal flaw was an offense seemingly incapable of moving the ball, led by former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
The biggest story of last offseason was Seattle trading Wilson to the Broncos. It was well established Wilson wanted to go to a team that would allow him to be the top man in charge and compete for MVP awards.
One of the major reasons Wilson wanted out from the Seahawks was his desire to not be sacked so much, as he took plenty of beatings behind a suspect offensive line in the Emerald City. Well, low and behold, he didn’t find the respite with Denver he was searching for. In fact, Wilson became the most sacked quarterback in Broncos single season history.
Russell Wilson was sacked more times in one season than any QB in Broncos history 😮

The 2022 season is certainly going to be one Wilson will want to forget. Not only did the wheels fall off on the field, his reputation off it took a serious hit as well. Wilson went from being considered an elite quarterback to a punchline.
Wilson will look to right the ship under new head coach Sean Payton. Otherwise, the Wilson era in the Mile High City will be short-lived.
