The 2023 NFL draft is just a few weeks away, but there’s still plenty of uncertainty regarding who will be drafted where. The Carolina Panthers traded with the Chicago Bears for the first overall pick, but who will they select?
If recent trends and team need are any indicator, the Panthers would select a quarterback. It’s allegedly between Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State‘s C.J. Stroud. The Houston Texans at No. 2 are expected to select whichever quarterback the Panthers pass on.
Stroud and Young are not expected to make it out of the first five picks in just about any scenario. However, the Las Vegas Raiders, which hold the No. 7 pick, decided to host Bryce Young for a visit, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
What makes this interesting is that the Raiders aren’t expected to have a shot at selecting Young at No. 7. So could the front office be thinking of making a trade to move up and have a chance at drafting the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner?
With time running out for moves to be made, Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow all news relating to the 2023 NFL draft and how it all impacts the former Alabama players preparing to begin their professional careers.
