Al Horford on facing the seemingly endless energy of LeBron James with the Boston Celtics in the playoffs

The Florida alum had the ill fortune to run into LeBron James in the postseason with the Celtics more than once while the perennial G.O.A.T. candidate was in his prime.

Fans of Boston Celtics veteran big man Al Horford have strong memories of the years the Florida alumnus had the ill fortune to run into LeBron James in the postseason while the GOAT candidate was in his prime.

So does Horford, for that matter, which is pretty unsurprising given it was him and not us out there each night trying to slow the Akron native down enough for Boston to compete for a title. But James has long been among the league’s most relentless competitors, a facet of those meetings Horford recalls all too well.

The Michigan native opened up about those meetings and the impression LeBron left on him in them on a recent episode of former NBAer JJ Redick’s “Old Man and the Three” podcast.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what he had to say about trying to keep up with LBJ.
